In my previous blog post, I delved into the first phase of my quest to reclaim my abs - revamping my workout routine to incorporate HIIT cardio and hill sprints. Now, let's explore the next step in this transformative journey: addressing my eating habits.
Initially, my eating routine seemed ordinary - three square meals a day, eating until satisfied, and no bingeing. But upon closer examination, I realized there was more to optimize. That's when I turned to research and made a startling discovery about the power of water.
Did you know that the average person loses 2L of water daily, even more when active? Considering that our bodies are 70% water, with muscles comprising 90%, it became clear that water was a magical ingredient I had overlooked. So, I made a simple yet impactful change - I increased my daily water intake to a gallon, approximately 4L.
Carrying around a gallon water bottle became my new habit, and the results were remarkable:
1. Increased trips to the bathroom became a small price to pay for improved hydration.
2. Naturally, my food portions reduced, as I felt fuller and more satisfied.
3. Water became my go-to beverage, eliminating empty calories from other drinks.
4. Regular and consistent bowel movements became the norm, especially after starting each day with a few glasses of water.
5. Most notably, my muscle definition saw a significant improvement.
But this was just the beginning of my journey. Stay tuned for the surprising discovery that took my eating habits to the next level.
